How to book multiple slots with one payment.
Once you have selected your first time slot, click “SELECT AND ADD ANOTHER TIME”. You can continue adding time slots, but only make one payment.

Our prices start from just £8.50 for 30 minutes, and may vary depending on your booking.
How do I book?
As of December 2025, you now need to be a member. Check this page for further details. Occasionally non-member slots are available.
Where are you located?
We’re situated on Metheringham Heath Lane, around 300 metres from the A15 end. Our full address is: The Old Kennels, 1, Metheringham Heath, Nocton, LN42AJ – click to view the location on maps.
Is parking available?
Yes! Drive through the large wooden field gate and park to your left, next to the old kennel block. Alternatively, you can park in the field. Please do not park in the lay-by.
How do I reschedule my booking?
You can easily reschedule via your confirmation email.
Can under 16s visit?
Unfortunately, we do not allow under 16’s.
What are the paddock rules?
You’ll find all the details in the pre-booking info.
Can we park in the lay-by in front of the house?
No, parking in the lay-by is not allowed.
Are there any restrictions on activities?
High energy play, ball chuckers, this type of thing are discouraged during extreme weather to help protect the ground (in winter or wet weather) & your dogs in the hot summer temperatures.
Is there a gate code?
No gate code is required. We do not operate a padlock system.
What are your rules for XL Bully and banned breeds?
Please refer to the dedicated page for our breed-specific rules.
Is the car park secure?
The car park – the first part you pull in to – is secure to 5′ when the wooden gate is closed. The field itself is also secure. In terms of ‘CCTV security’, we have a wired security system with 6 cameras in total on the actual field.
What if my dog is unwell?
For the safety of all dogs, please stay home if your dog is unwell.
What are your Covid guidelines?
Please do not visit if you’re experiencing Covid symptoms.
Is there a bin on site?
Yes, there is a dog waste bin available for use.
Please take your own litter home.
If you have 3 or more dogs, please take their waste home.
What if I forget my poop bags?
No worries! We provide poop bags on-site.

Will we see other dogs?
The paddock is reserved for one household at a time, so it’s unlikely. You may occasionally hear or see my own dogs or people coming too early for their slot.
How big is the paddock?
The actual field excluding the car park is 1 acre.
What fencing and security features are there?
Our fencing is dog field standard called Tornado Wire. It is a high wire netting (min 1.5mt), a bit like stock fencing, but with smaller squares meaning small dogs cannot get out of the field. We have a Deer Gate on the entrance which is also to secure dog field standard. Customers are always asked to keep gates closed regardless of the situation (ie someone waiting to come in).
Can we bring a friend?
Yes, you’ll need to book and pay for each additional household.
Is there drinking water available?
Yes, but it depends on the time of year as to how this is provided. During the winter, I fill containers for you to pour from, during the summer we sometimes have a tap available.
Can I bring toys or training equipment.
Yes, but there are common sense rules around this.
Ball chuckers (or any activity causing the same damage) are not allowed while the ground is wet because it is easily damaged. Toys must always be taken home and any damaged toys must be picked up and taken home. Broken toys are a choking hazard, as are toys relative to the size of dog finding them when left behind.
Is it muddy?
Our gateway gets a little muddy during wet weather but is not deep by any means, but otherwise our location is very stoney, so doesn’t really get muddy.
Are there any age restrictions for dogs?
Obviously don’t bring a puppy until fully vaccinated and use common sense with exercise intensity of young, growing dogs and elderly dogs.
What happens if I am late or want to extend my slot?
If you are late, just arrive when you can, but obviously follow our standard guidance and leave no later than 5 minutes before the end of your slot. Extensions may be made in the normal way via the booking calendar. If you are struggling with signal, we may be able to extend your slot by meeting you at the field. This has its restrictions, but please text in this instance.
What is the limit on amount of dogs?
We have a limit of 6 dogs on a standard booking. As of 2026, users with more than 6 dogs will be charged extra per dog and you will be given a dedicated link for this purpose, which will be given to you at the time of membership registration. It will also be recommended that users with more than 6 dogs are also a 2 person booking to make sure all waste is cleared away efficiently.
Is the paddock suitable for nervous or reactive dogs?
Yes, especially so and I think this is one of the main reasons private dog fields became popular. Once you have driven through the main metal gate, you will walk through a second gate in to the main field, you will then have the space all to yourself. Feel free to pop the carabiner on the metal gate if you want extra peace of mind from any one wandering in.
What should I bring with me?
- Check your time and date beforehand.
- Water, poo bags, leads, toys.
- Appropriate clothing and footwear.
Can I visit the field before booking to check suitability?
Yes if the field is not booked. However, we have plenty of videos on line and at the top of this page to show the facilities.
Is the field suitable for dogs with poor recall?
Yes, but we do recommend certain common sense backups, as not being able to catch your dog at the end of a session impacts the next user. Put a long line on your dog and allow it to trail. You can buy a long dog training lead here.
Are there any blind spots in the field?
No. You can literally see the whole field from any where you stand.
Is the field checked daily?
The field is used by myself – Sarah – twice daily. If I am ever away, I always have a paddock manager (one of my customers) to do daily checks for me.
Can children attend?
No. We don’t allow any one under the age of 16.
Is the paddock suitable for elderly dogs or dogs recovering from injury?
Yes, you can take a quiet meander around our paddock. The ground is flat with a very slight incline at the top.
Do you allow dog trainers or behaviourists to hire the field?
Yes. However we need to speak to you first and you will be asked to send your insurance. We charge the same price as a regular customer for group walks (professional dog walkers) and POA for behaviourists or meet and greets.
Can I arrive early and wait in my car?
No, we discourage this as it interferes with the user in the paddock before you. Please wait safely somewhere else (not the lay-by) and access the paddock at your slot time.
What happens if another customer overruns their slot?
You can call or message me. If I don’t respond in time, wait in your car, as they may be on their way out. If this doesn’t look likely, walk in WITHOUT YOUR DOG, closing the gate behind you (as long as it is safe to do so) and say you are waiting to enter the field.
Alternatively, if there is an awkward situation, report it to me and I will look at the CCTV and act accordingly.
Is there CCTV or monitoring on site?
Yes we have a wired Unifi system with 6 cameras on the actual field.
Are wild animals or livestock nearby?
No, only rabbits and birds as to be expected. There is NO adjoining livestock like sheep or horses.
Can I book regular sessions or block bookings?
Yes of course. You can book multiple slots easily and pay once at a time rather than individually.
Can I monitor my bookings on an app?
Yes both Apple & Android have the Acuity Client App. Please search for this in your App Store and add the URL given to you when joining as a member.
