Socialisation Groups – Summer Autumn 2024

At Meg K9 Paddock, we believe in creating a haven where both dogs and their owners can forge lasting connections while enjoying the thrill of open spaces. Our socialisation groups, overseen by me, Sarah Gleave, aim to provide a well-organised, secure setting for dogs to thrive socially and for owners to witness the joy of canine fun.

I spend a while in my career heavily invested in dog training, running puppy training classes as well as adult dog obedience classes. I took particular interest in training classes run by Paddy Driscoll that were mostly geared towards the skills needed for competitive obedience.

I spent a while assisting Paddy Driscoll with her dog training classes at North Hykeham and Nettleham. So being the owner of a fenced paddock, dog training classes were something I was fortunate enough to be able to easily do.

Now the field is a busy secure dog field that people come to with their dogs’ and hire out by the hour or half hour.

I will be supervising all of the group socialisation classes and to assure safety, the classes will be limited to 10 dogs with an absolute maximum of 12 depending on the dogs in the group. Dog and human safety is paramount.

What dogs can come?

We spilt the socialisation sessions into small/medium and medium/large, the table here on our Zoomies page explains all.

The group sessions cover these types of socialisation classes for dogs:

Puppy Socialisation, smaller dogs, Terriers, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Doodles, Open Play Sessions, Dachshunds, large dogs, Spaniels and Border Collies … but that’s not all, all dogs are welcome.

We understand the importance of a controlled environment for fostering positive interactions. Our groups have a maximum size of 10 dogs, ensuring an intimate and safe experience for everyone involved. With special rules in place, we prioritise the happiness and safety of both dogs and humans.

When and Where: Classes Schedule

We’ve tailored our schedule to fit seamlessly into your routine. Join us for running socialisation classes on Monday and Tuesday evenings during the spring, summer, and autumn seasons. Additionally, we offer Saturday afternoon sessions, providing flexibility for owners and ensuring ample opportunities for dogs to partake in the joyous gatherings. You can learn more here.
